Supplier Spotlight: Eat Natural
Looking for a tasty, nutritious snack? Look no further than Eat Natural's bars which are both sustaining and sustainable.
Praveen Vijh and Preet Grewal launched Eat Natural in 1997 after travelling round Australia in a beaten-up van. They loved the Aussie way of life and set up Eat Natural to bring a slice of that happiness to the UK snack market.
Their first creation was a date and walnut bar, made from the ingredients in their own kitchen cupboards. Now, the pair head up a team of 250 hard-working snack-creators who are all based at the Eat Natural Makery in Halstead, Essex.
The striking thing about the Makery is how many people are involved in the bar-making process. Together, the team make over 1.9 million snack bars a week, working hard at all stages of the process from rolling out oats to packing the final bars into boxes.
Ultimately, all this hard work leads to bars that are truly delicious. Here on Osolocal2u we stock three of Eat Natural's most popular products, the Protein Packed Crunchy Nut Bar, the Dark Chocolate Fruit & Nut bar and the Almond & Apricot Fruit & Nut Bar. Click here to take a look.
Sustainable snacking
Everyone at Eat Natural really cares about the bars they make but they also care about the planet and global community.
The team work hard to make the bars as sustainable as possible. So far this has included:
- Reducing the volume of plastic used to wrap Eat Natural bars by 30% over the last 5 years
- Partnering with an NGO to support Brazil nut growers affected by crop failure
- Sharing used wooden pallets with local craftsmen to be made into hives for the Eat Natural bee keepers
